| | Le Brévent is located on the sunny side of the valley and accessible directly from downtown Chamonix, offering a majestic setting facing the Mont-Blanc. It is
also the domain of snow-boarding and deep powder skiing. Two km up the valley is the village of Les Praz where La Flgre cable car whisks you up to another south-facing network of lifts and runs. From its trails, enjoy an exceptional view of the Mer de Glace and the Mont-Blanc range. Ideal runs for ski-touring in spring. Since 1997, the Brévent and Flégère ski areas have been linked by a cable car enabling skiers to take advantage of both mountains. | | | |

| At the northern tip of the valley, the long blue and green runs of Le Tour / Vallorcine make it the ideal choice for family skiing as well as for novice surfers. Three new trails on the northern slopes (direction Vallorcine) take the skier down through several acres of pine and larch forest; doubling the variety of skiing and allowing for an exotic escapade into Switzerland, just next door.
Lognan / Les Grands Montets : the most famous ski area in the valley (1230-3233 m) Exceptional vertical drop (2100 m), famous trails and glacier skiing have forged the Grands Montets' reputation as a world-famous ski area. Its size, the snow quality and the variety of ski runs and off-piste trails will delight the most demanding skier. Beginners will enjoy the sunny slopes of les Chosalets, located 500 m from the Grands Montets
